A Quantification of Time An Audio Textual Poem by Robin Ouzman Hislop

A Quantification of Time

fragments of the day embodied
in its wake of forgetfulness
towards an edge

a return a becoming
an instant of the world
reaching to touch
the whole the less

a universe that unfolds me
its solitary stranger
to greet its oncoming rush

its image left in doubt
its moment a bonfire
heap of antiquity (audio effect)
where insects scuttle forlorn
