Basquiat & Hendrix you were cheated out of life by mortals it wasn't what you gave but what they took as if you could get high on that poison they fed you they didn't leave you an exit once they'd locked you in to show what you'd got they snatched the hoard & lit the building with you in but you didn't know how to walk away they were still your gods you'd shot down to the providence where you sought them where they took you in ritualised to a myth that sucked played you that hand that spun to win where you put your foot in your mouth sold you out
